Creative Preschool Activity Books – A Fun Guide

In this post, I am sharing why I love toddler activity books, the ones I have created, and how I put them together!
Discovering Preschool Activity Books

As a homeschool teacher to multiple children at a time, I have found many ways to keep the littlest ones nearby and learning through play and fun learning activities. There are so many sensory toys and projects for kids that I just love. Read this post to find my favorite stress-free preschool products.
When the little ones start to get bigger and really desire to learn alongside their older siblings, I have discovered that preschool activity binders or busy books are a great way to keep their little hands busy. I have made several of these notebooks and love it when the littles pull them out excited to go through the activities.
Every day as I had story time or craft time with the big kids, the littlest one would pull out her busy book that I had made just for her and do all the activities again and again. Her big brother would be next to her and was eager to help. Before she knew it, she was learning her letters, numbers, colors and more!
Benefits of Preschool Binders

Children learn with play and repetition. Seeing the letters in their name over and over again makes them recognize them and their order. Learning lowercase and uppercase letters at the same time by matching them is great for toddlers! It makes it easier for them when they start reading to know their lowercase letters already.
Toddlers are always counting….their toys, their treats, and so many things on daily basis. When they know what the numbers look like math becomes easy! The number match activity in this preschool binder also includes the number words making it great for their math when they start kindergarten.
Colors are everywhere and without even realizing it, we are always teaching them to the littlest in our arms! Nature is full of color and children learn by observing their surroundings. This activity also teaches color words which is one of the first things in many preschool curriculums.
There are so many activities in this preschool binder including a season matching activity, shapes, and also a clock activity! Toddlers will love learning as they match elements on these fun pages!
A Basketful of Joy Preschool Activity Notebooks
Here is the toddler preschool binder that I have in my shop. I am so excited to offer this complete busy book after years of perfecting it just for your little ones. This notebook is easy to download, print, and assemble. Read below to see how I put these busy books together. Also, be sure to customize your toddler’s binder with the cover and name match activity that I also have available!
How to Make a Preschool Notebook

These activity books are easy quite easy to make! Follow these steps to create and assemble one for your toddler.
Supplies needed to make these Preschool Busy Books
These are the supplies I used to make this toddler notebook. I love to print on cardstock for a stronger page and pieces so the little ones can enjoy these activities longer. I found my thermal laminator at a local store and ordered these laminating sheets. And these notebooks with the pocket in front are great for a cover page!
I hope this helps you as you set up preschool for your little ones! I love how special these notebooks have become to the precious little ones I have taught. Tell me what other pages you would love to see in these! And feel free to add more pages of your own – like pictures of family members with their names so your littles can recognize them!
